BioCharacter Information:
Name - Nessimo
Approximate Age - 581 years old, born in Valinor.
Race - Noldorin elf
Occupation - Steward (fancy name for Butler, housekeeper and all-doer)
Features- Nessimo has long black hair (of which he's rather proud) and grey eyes. He's considered short for a male elf, being only 6 feet 3". He's also more slender than average, and of lighter built.
Yeah right, but who's that elf anyway?
Nessimo's fate is undeniably bound to the house of the Harp. From early infancy he was taught (in spades) by his father the Steward Anfirion the importance of order, method and fealty.
When Feanáro roused the noldor to exile, for vengeance and for world-exploring, there was not a doubt whether he should follow his masters, although he was but only just of age. The decision was made easier when he found out his father and his mother, Ariel, would go as well.
It was only during the blood-stained crossing that young Nessimo realised the cost of faithfulness, for his father fell at Alqualonde and Ariel never left Helcaraxë. A young adult, recently orphaned, he was taken into custody by the Lord of the House of the Harp and served him heartily, as his father before him; first as a squire, and gradually climbing to butler and to Steward. In the early stage of Gondolin there is not many people around to keep the house functioning, so Nessimo was entrusted with that
task and is the person responsible for all things practical within the household.
Nessimo also saw to the education of Lord Salgant (mostly covering his back on his [mis]adventures of youth and keeping him away from too much trouble throughout his early adulthood), whom he considers as a younger brother.
When the senior Lord of the House of the Harp fell during the Battle of the Unnumbered Tears, Salgant became the Lord of the household, but Nessimo still looks after him.
As well as organise the menu for the meals, keep the servants working, see that the laundry is done regularly...
A joyful, even malicious elf who secretly delights in the knowledge of the inner intrigues of court, Nessimo is very strict with his affections and his duties. He pays love with love, and slight with slight. He hopes to
erase the horrors he saw in his youth by sprading light and joy to the others around him. Nessimo is the person to have around when you need
something done, and well done. Just don't ask him to wield a sword, though...
